While the Midwest is warming up back home, Addis Ababa is really cold today! After I left my apartment this morning, I noticed big gray clouds hovering over Addis. Not near my apartment, but definitely near the school. And finally, just before lunchtime today, the clouds released their fury upon us.
Ok, so it’s not a downpour, but it’s really cold now! I’m wearing pants and a turtleneck t-shirt, and it’s not nearly enough. I usually wear a cardigan but it has been really warm lately so I’ve been leaving it at home. I also didn’t bring an umbrella because I didn’t notice the clouds until I was away from the apartment. This means I’m going to be cold, wet, and muddy when I get home. One of the main reasons why I hate rain here is because it makes the area near my apartment super muddy. Gross.
Hopefully we have water and power when I get home so I can take a nice, long, hot shower. If only.
