In the interest of saving money, Kyle cut my hair for me tonight! Sure it’s less than 4 USD to get my hair cut at the Boston Day Spa, but 40 birr is dinner out on the town!
I hadn’t cut my hair since August, and back then it was actually Amber who cut it for me. We cut it at my shortest layer so that I would not have to deal with styling my layered ‘do. It was pretty short then, and it’s so long now! I was surprised when Kyle pointed out where my hair fell on my back. I don’t think I’ve had hair this long since senior year of high school when I kept it long for show choir.
Kyle did a pretty good job of cutting it. The front is a little longer than the back, but I can easily fix that myself. I’m hoping to donate my hair when I get back to the States, but I don’t think it will be long enough for me to comfortably lop it off. I guess that means that during my first few months of med school I will have long hair! We’ll see how that goes. Usually when it gets long I can’t stand it so I chop it off. Wish me luck!
