“Do you think you'll fly again?” - Reporter “Of course!” - Jasmin

Well, here it is. My first flight since NW Flight 253. We left an hour after boarding the plane which was highly annoying, but all-in-all it was a pretty uneventful flight. The guy who was supposed to be sitting in the middle seat stole my window seat and I wasn’t in the mood to ask him to move, so I sat between two men. The woman in front of me put her seat back as soon as the flight attendant said “you may now turn on approved electronic devices; sit back and relax”… I guess she follows directions well. This means no sleeping on the flight for yours truly.

Have I ever mentioned that I love flying? I love feeling the power of the engines at take off. I love being in awe of the Wright brothers and their magnificent creation. I love looking out of my window and seeing the lights below, or the clouds that look like the pictures of heaven we see.

Tomorrow will be my third flight of Winter Break, and I can’t believe that in 5 days I will leaving [again] on a jet plane. More like an airbus 330, but you get the idea. 5 more days in the States, and I’m traveling every single day! I am also realizing that getting back to Addis the night before school is a bad idea. I should have left one day to try to get acclimated to the time change; oh well, can’t change things now.

We’ve reached 33,000 feet. I’m going to work on some essays for scholarships and such. Huzzah for being productive!
