Ok, so I’ve changed the tune slightly, but the sounds are the same! What do I see daily: sheep, cows, donkeys…it’s like a farm! And I’m in the middle of the capital of Ethiopia!
Today when I got home from school, I was surprised by two chickens sitting outside my neighbor’s door. A few hours later, I heard them squawking and running into my door. Dinner at my door. I wonder if those chickens are for dinner tonight or tomorrow. Maybe I should invite myself over just so I can see. Of course, I don’t speak enough Amharic to hold a conversation, and my neighbors don’t speak a word of English. Oh well.
